| Abstract: | The aim of this essay is to analyse the reorganization situation of the grain market since the implementation of rural reform 20 years ago and to measure the efficiency of the reform of Chinese grain market. Data used in the study come from rice prices at provincial level from 1988 to 1995, which were recorded every 10 days. Augmented Dickey-Fuller method is adopted in testing and analysing the reorganization degree of the grain market. The result of this study shows that the reorganization degree of Chinese grain market has been rising since 1988. However, further reform is to be carried out in order to form a large national grain market. |
