| Abstract: | The rapid growth in access to electronic data networks, and especially the development if the Internet into a global "network of networks", has stimulated the commercial supply of electronic services enormously. This has opened up new opportunities for trade and the international division of labor. Electronic multimedia communications has become one of the most promising growth areas. By setting an appropriate institutional and legal framework, governments can exert significant influence on the nature and extent of the development of electronic commerce. |
