Abstract:Electronic negotiations (e-negotiations) are processes that involve computer and communication technologies in one or more negotiation activities. They take advantage of the various models and approaches for constructing and evaluating negotiation problems, making decisions and formulating concessions, communicating and assessing messages. E-negotiations create new opportunities for both researchers and practitioners. Researchers can study negotiation processes and negotiators' behaviour as was not earlier possible. Negotiators, mediators and facilitators gain access to distributed expertise, information and knowledge, and different forms of support and advice.
