| Abstract: | Firms are evolving to virtual knowledge networks where knowledge creation processes are distributed across firm, time, and space boundaries. Virtualization of the organization and the intangibility of knowledge resources require network-centric leadership. Network centricity complicates the balancing act of leadership; negative and conflicting relationships between firms and their stakeholders are unavoidable. How the conflicts are managed have long-term repercussions for the overall knowledge creation ability of the network and its competitiveness. |
