| Abstract: | The study investigates the role of the analysts' earnings forecasts (hereafter as: a-e-fs.) in explaining returns (here as: rets.) in Sweden where the analyst profession has considerably developed during the last two decades. There is the question raised of how well the Swedish a-e-fs. perform if compared to reported accounting earnings in explaining rets. A-e-fs. and changes in them are found to be important in explaining rets. |
