Abstract: | Roos and Victors (1999) conceptual framework for strategy making is illustrated in the article with an extensive case study of the electrical engineering and electronics multinational Siemens. The framework includes three kind of imagination: descriptive, creative and challenging, and these all are covered in the light of empirical data. The author also considers if the strategy making process in large organizations follows a perceivable or deliberate path, and the roles and significance of the three kinds of imaginations. Also subjects for further research concerning strategy making processes are mentioned. |
