| Abstract: | This article examines the response of Australian and New Zealand accounting academics to recent corporate governance and financial reporting failures. In addition to the Enron and WorldCom cases, the study also notes a sequence of major Australian corporate failures. The examination is made through research into literature, profession and relevant websites, and interviews with experienced accounting academics. |
