| Abstract: | Consumer policy should attempt to loosen some of the external constraints that make changes to a more sustainable lifestyle difficult. Two approaches can be taken: policies that increase a feeling of empowerment may also have a positive influence on consumers' motivation to make an effort. In this article both types of constraints on lifestyle changes in a sustainable direction and policies for reducing constraints are considered. |
