| Abstract: | How does the use of external advisors influence the value generated in complex acquisition (hereafter as: acq.) processes? The greater the complexity, the higher the likelihood for managers to seek outside advice. This paper argues and shows that any outsourcing does add to the expense of the acq., requiring a different approach to the engagement of expert advice. |
