| Abstract: | In this study the writers discuss of a use of discrete, static environmental indicators as part of an interactive feedback process to manage tourism within biophysical limits. The writers present a conceptual systems model to incorporate the gap between observed and desired ecological footprint levels of tourists and residents. Historical tourism and environmental data from the SPIN-Eco Project in province of Siena, Italy is used as a research material. |
