Abstract:In this study the authors describe how men who are working from home construct their identities as workers and as fathers. The paper analyses the reconciliation of family and career paying particular attention to emotions and the ways how to manage emotional aspects of telework. This paper examines the identity discourses through the analysis of seven videotaped interviews. According to the authors home-based telework offers a space where men can express emotional discourses. The findings highlight that teleworking fathers are one example how the routines of tradition employment could be reformed.
