| Abstract: | More and more business enterprises are now coming to realize that information technology can be a most effective weapon in the competitive struggle. There is a yawning gap between the potential offered by existing technology and what is achieved in practice. Filling this gap must be a prime objective for any company. Six changes are outlined in the competitive environment that result from the application of the latest information technology. Strategies are suggested for securing competitive advantages by means of information and communication systems. |
