| Abstract: | A microeconomic framework is developed for a theoretical analysis and a deeper understanding of management of retail firms. Retailing production functions are subdivided into merchandising processes, service processes, and monetary processes. This approach helps making sound decisions on the firm of retailing, on service level, and on other variables that management can influence in order to gain competitive advantages. The interaction between the environment impacts and the behavior of enterprise make a part of planning. It is a task of science to develop an adequate model that makes the optimal business management possible, considering the permanent process of changing. |
