Abstract:To help organizations deal with change, a model for maximizing employees' effectiveness has been developed. The model has two parts. The inner circle represents senior management's values, strategies, and vision or the future. The outer circle shows employees' expectations and the systems that management can use to address those expectations and increase employee effectiveness. The two circles are interdependent in that each reinforce the other: Employees expect management to tell them what it will take the company to succeed and how they fit into the puzzle. Employees expect the organization to privide the financial, physical and human resources they need to do their jobs. Employees want to be recognized, expect honest feedback, etc.
