| Abstract: | End-user optimization is becoming more and more popular. Modern software coupling optimization with spreadsheet systems insures that a user without mathematical background could develop useful decision support systems using mathematical programming. The author compares three existing spreadsheet optimization systems and present industrial and educational experience with one of them, namely IFPS/Optimum. Problems arising in such applications are also discussed. |
