Abstract:Training is one of the most significant challenges facing business given the context of globalization and, in Europe, the 1992 program. This program raises several issues directly concerning training. In addition to the sense of urgency and to the need for mobility of qualified staff, there are legislative changes as well as the need to develop linguistic skills, close the gap that currently exists in training levels across Europe, and understand cultural and market differences that will remain in Europe. Developing a strategy for training in order to meet these challenges needs to begin with an audit of current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, regarding training. Areas of immediate improvement should be identified.
