| Abstract: | Preferences of group members are expected to vary from each other. This laboratory experiment was undertaken to evaluate the merits of including a consensus ranking heuristic in a multiobjective group decision aid based on effectiveness and efficiency measures, as well as user confidence in the final solution. The objective is to investigate the effect of preference aggregation. The second independent variable is linear programming background. Quality and speed are measures. Confidence in the solution is also measured. The analysis of results and implications are presented. Some remarks and suggestions for future research are provided. |
