Abstract:Organizational features and marketing approaches of 39 USA elderly conservation programmes are described. Interagency networking, presentations and referrals are the most commonly used methods of recruiting clients. Nearly half of the programmes use direct mail and bill inserts to advertise programme services. The article provides a familiarity with the range of existing programmes nationwide which can help in the selection of the programme designs that will serve their intended clients more effectively. It suggests specific approaches to serving the elderly.
