Abstract:In recent times, environmental protection has emerged to occupy much of the center stage in discussions of economic development. The fact that most - if not all - developing countries trade with each other has given the concept of environmental protection a distinctively international focus. In this note, I identify and discuss five of the most important themes in trade and environment that are likely to impact developing countries in a significant manner in future.
