Abstract:According to surveys by the urban investigation team of the State Statistics Bureau, the income of the highest income group was 2.9 times that of the lowest income group in 1985, but became 3.8 times in 1994, and the gap of actual income was much wider. Income gaps include those created by normal income, that is, income from work, legitimate business and assets; and those created by gray and black income. There are no big gaps in normal income, the Kienny's coefficient being about 0.23. which is, however, not below 0.9 from abnormal income.
