| Abstract: | We can reestablish Shanghai trade centre by using two kinds of models. One is as follows: we take enhancing Shanghai's economic strength as the main target and formulate various strategic measures to narrow the gap in every aspect between Shanghai and the present International Trade Centre and at last turn it into a contemporary international trade centre. The other one is to establish a "large-sized Shanghai" economic circle, made up of the open cities in Yangtze River Delta, with Shanghai as the core. The author thinks that the second one conforms to the law of contemporary international economic development. He also considers that the reestablishment of Shanghai trade centre should be linked with the formation of "large-sized Shanghai" economic circle. |
