Abstract:The article investigates the process through which named professorships are selected. Tournament theory and procedural justice test are utilized to examine the matter. The specific focus of the research is in estimating the likeliness for management professors to hold one of the highest rewards of for academic research productivity, a named professorship, as a function of their research credentials, as measured by the amount of articles published in selected core elite management journals.
