Abstract: | Natural resource accounts (NRA) have been constructed to improve resource management in a country like Namibia which is very dependent on its natural resources . This paper discusses about NRA using water policy of Namibia to give an example of an analytical perspective that NRA can provide to policy makers. First step towards sound water management is to estimate the opportunity cost of water and to coordinate sectoral strategies especially agriculture, energy, mining and trade. |
