| Abstract: | Although there is growing awareness of the need for sustainable global development, consolidation of corporate profitability, environmental protection and social responsiveness successfully is hard to achieve through traditional modes of globalization. One emerging approach offering a promising strategic alternate is a sustainable global enterprise, which requires the creation of "native capability". This paper shows the usefulness of an ethic of care increasing comprehension of the competencies encompassing native capability. Practical ideas for developing those skills are also presented. |
