Abstract: | This article examines the impact of climate on peoples' happiness analyzing a panel of 67 countries. It is found that climate variables such as precipitation and temperature have a significant impact on country-wide self-reported levels of happiness. It is concluded that in the future high-latitude countries may benefit from the climate changes while countries already having high summer temperatures may suffer losses. |
