| Abstract: | Since its founding, Eastman Kodak had always met its profit goals and was considered by the investment community, its employees and by the city of Rochester, New York, as an exemplary firm. In 1988, as the saying goes, the wheels fell off. The black and white film division faced the prospect of being closed, but by reengineering itself and empowering its employees, it managed an amazing turnaround. |
