| Abstract: | This paper deals with the current state of the art of firm growth studies in small business economics. It makes a plea for more specific research approaches highlighting the nature of the firm, organization, and growth paths. This rejuvenation of firm growth studies produces a search for necessary mechanisms and contingent conditions for the firms' growth. |
