| Abstract: | An easy-to-compute approximation for determining long run average performance measures for multiserver Markovian queues with periodic arrival rates are discussed. This approximation is obtained by computing the expectation of the performance measure over the period using the stationary formula with the arrival rate that corresponds to each point in time. It is called the pointwise stationary approximation (PSA). The PSA is a limiting version of the segmentation approach. |
