| Abstract: | This study considers social contracts for resolving conflicts (hereafter as: confl. / confls.) btw. two agents who are uncertain about each other's fighting potential. Applications include international confl., litigation and elections. It is shown how the likelihood of confl. outbreak depends on the distribution of power btw. the agents and their information about each other. |
