| Abstract: | The labor absorption of township enterprises presents marginal decreasing , especially in Sunan area where the township enterprises are relatively flourishing. This area's labor absorption fell from 0.35 people/ 0.01 million yuan in 1992 to -1.89 people/ 0.01 million yuan in 1995 and both 1994 and 1995 saw a negative growth of the employed people. However, in Suzhong area, labor absorption fell relatively slowly and rose slightly in 1993. But the backward Subei area maintained a certain absorptive capacity for labor and its labor absorption fell, somewhat only in 1995. |
