| Abstract: | A likely magnitude of the employment effect of introducing a National Minimum Wage in the UK was estimated. The industry-based approach can be considered to overestimate the likely impacts. Whatever the size of the employment effect, most of that effect will be felt in three sectors: Clothing and Textiles, Distributive Trade, and Miscellaneous Services. |
