Abstract:In today's era of global competition, the principles of total quality management (TQM) are increasingly espoused by businesses. It would stand to reason that they would also be penetrating business schools, bur such is not necessarily in the case. A study presented here finds that continued outside pressure from the business community may be needed to integrate TQM into business school curriculums. TQM is a management philosophy that is characterized by certain principles, practices and techniques.
