Abstract: | A comparative analysis of the differences in patterns of social organization and their consequences in various contexts is, according to this article, central to the social sciences. The author has done research about the organization of scientific fields and compared business school graduates. The paper presents an analysis of economic organization in different institutional contexts (East Asia and Europe) and develops a comparative business systems framwork. The author has developed several frameworks for describing differences and processes, and to understand how the changing environment of research in business and management studies in many countries is affecting research goals and styles. |
