Abstract: | Many companies view business schools in India as the primary source from which to recruit management trainees. A case study is described in which ABC India Ltd experienced a drop in the number of applications. It decided to adopt a two-pronged strategy to market its jobs: a package of benefits and the use of the communication channels available. In order to build the benefit package five questions had been answered, that resulted in the need for a "market research" study. The study demonstrated the easy applicability of the market research discipline in the area of personnel. Methodology used for mapping and quantifying perceptions of companies and calculations of "value" perceived for each job offer are described. |
