| Abstract: | This article summarizes trends and developments in the East European white goods market. In volume terms, sales reached 12.5 million units across the review markets in 1992. With the exception of Russia where the large population makes the market look deceptively developed, the market in Eastern Germany is the largest of the review markets, with three million units sold in 1992. The combined markets of the Czech and Slovak Republics come a very close second. The smallest markets, by volume, are Bulgaria and Romania. |
