| Abstract: | In 1990-93, Russia emphasized primarily the formation and development of small business, which, in the reformists' view , was necessary to establish a competitive environment and add essential flexibility to production. However, while placing a high value on the role, place, and functions of small and medium-sized business in a modern economy, one should not forget about another important component of the economy - large economic structures. These structures are what lend stability and predictability to economic life and lay the financial and production groundwork for major scientific-technical breakthroughs. |
