Abstract:The improper intervention of the governments, too rapid expansion of asset scale and irrational assets-liability structure as well as weak ability of internal control over and identification of bad debt are responsible for the problems in the financial industry in these countries where the financial crisis occurred. China should draw experience and lessons from them. The settlement of the problems in the financial industry should conform to the operating mechanism of market mechanism. The banking industry should have a certain scale to adapt to the economic globalization in the 21st century. Besides the transparency of the financial industry needs to be increased. This paper also suggests that savings insurance system and financial holding companies be established and competition mechanism introduced in the financial industry.
