| Abstract: | In some famous microeconomics textbooks by American scholars, the MC and AVC curves, as well as the MR and AR curves, and the MP and AP curves, start from some point (1,x) instead of some same point in the vertical axis. This article makes clear that the misusing of the discrete case formula MC(1)=AVC(1) in the continuous case, in which the corresponding formula should be MC(0)=AVC(0), is the major cause of the faults. |
