| Abstract: | This article highlights the main issues raised in 13 articles that were selected from papers presented in the 12th Australian Finance and Banking Conference held in Sydney in December 1999. It also analyzes the issues related to global financial coordination and integration for the new millennium. It highlights the cost associated with foreign exchange volatility and the significance of macroeconomic coordination at the global level for further integration of the financial market. |
