| Abstract: | The implemented principle of ownership structure at the present stage in China has experienced a tortuous course of development. Before the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, Zhang Wentian once expressed his idea that five economic sectors should be all developed with public ownership as the leading sector of the economy. After 1949, Mao Zedong advocated transforming the private ownership of means of production to public ownership and applied it to practice. After the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the CPC, Deng Xiaoping put forward his idea of economic pattern based on public ownership and supplemented by the simultaneous development of multiple economic sectors , which was determined formally as the principle of long-term development at the 14th National Party Congress. |
