| Abstract: | Great success has been achieved in reform of economic system in China. Economy has developed at high speed. The initial framework of system of socialist market economy has been shaped. Instead of shortage of commodities, China has entered market boom and buyer's market. People's income and consumption level have been raised rapidly. Foreign trade has also expanded rapidly and surpassed economic growth. By the end of 1997, foreign exchange reserves reached US$ 140 billion, ranking second in the world. The most important thing for deepening reform is to make clear the positioning and function of the state-owned economic sector. The major industries and key areas that concern the life-blood of the national economy must be made clear. And the large corparation strategy practised. |
