Abstract:The paper remarks a growth in all-purpose household cleaning products, a growth in liquids across all sector of the market, and more recently shoe products and dishwasher detergents. Products which require less frequent application and provide longer lasting effects have been successful at the expense of market volume. New forms of packaging including trigger packs and visibly directable containers develop. Multinational manufacturers and major grocery multiple distributors dominate. Consumer concern about environment had led to a drop in some product sector, especially lavatory cleaners.
