Abstract:Organizations hoping to find a panacea for work stress are barking up the wrong tree. Current stress management interventions are having little beneficial effect. There is a strategic 6-step approach proposed to tackle this much-misunderstood issue. There are 3 elements that count as stress management intervention are: 1. Reduce exposure to psychologically harmful working conditions. 2. Give people the skills to deal with potentially harmful working conditions. 3. Treat people who have been harmed by work.
