| Abstract: | Use of an occupational stress model to predict the psychological experience of long-term unemployed men and stress variations of the environment, defined by problems, support and opportunities. Social class & financial circumstances, personal attributes and coping tactics. Based on a sample of 399 unemployed men, registered at 54 UK Unemployment Benefit Offices. Use of multiple regression to test the model. Prediction of psychological symptoms in control of conditioning and personal attribute variables. Four Tables and a Figure cover the stress model. |
