| Abstract: | This study examines how accounting losses affect the earnings response coefficients (ERC) in different leverage and growth categories and whether investors consider differently the accounting losses of different type of firms. Also was examined, whether the growth opportunities and financial leverage are important with regard to each other when investigating the impact losses on ERCs. The impact losses on ERCs varies across firms that have different levels of financial leverage and growth opportunity. The impact of growth opportunities and financal leverage on ERC is clearly observable especially when losses and profits are analyzed separately. |
