| Abstract: | OM Gruppen's takeover bid for the London Stock Exchange is a symbol of Scandinavia's technological edge in financial services. There is some satisfaction in Stockholm that OM Gruppen , whose strategy is based on technological development allied to trading platforms, is a serious bidder for one of the oldest and most successful exchanges in the world. The Stockholm exchange has had a well-established reputation for innovation since 1993 when it became the first to demutualize its ownership and become a fully commercial operation. |
