Abstract:It has been showed that culture has an significant effect on knowledge management (KM). The purpose of this article is to analyse the case of KM implementation at IT consulting firm MKS based in India. A range of cultural themes were found which hinder the institutionalisation of KM at MKS (for instance internal competitiveness among staff resulting in knowledge hoarding and lack of any real personal reward).
