| Abstract: | The purpose of the paper is to evaluate the effects on share value of Irish takeovers and mergers, in the light of other relevant empirical literature. The author describes the population of the firms in the study, considers the need to adapt capital market technologies to take into account potential inefficiencies, outlines and evaluates the empirical findings. |
