Abstract:As to the efficacy of executive (here as: exec.) coaching (as: c-g.), ambiguity surrounds its definition, its methodology and outcomes. In spite of this, the exec. c-g. remains a viable business proposition. Practitioners bring services to the business community etc. This paper examines the process of c-g. suggesting that a better understanding of the process will enhance practice efficacy, accelerating empirical investigations. In addition, ethical, confidential and legal issues require attention. There is the need to better understand c-g. Case studies are provided in the examination of c-g. consultations in Fortune 100 settings.
