| Abstract: | The Germans drink about 190 liters coffee per inhabitant a year, 40 liters more than beer. Next the U.S., Germany is one of the biggest coffee importers in the world. After the World War II, the situation in the German coffee market changed thoroughly. Today, big companies dominate the market but, according to the author, in the future there will be more small and medium-sized companies which are more flexible and can quickly respond to changes in the market. |
